Our Newly Registered Attorneys (Kazuo Takizawa, Mariko Haniu, Hiroko Iwatsuki, and Natsuko Tsuji)
We are pleased to announce that the following four staff members have been newly registered as patent and trademark attorneys.
■Patent and Trademark Attorney Kazuo Takizawa

Kazuo Takizawa joined our firm in 2015 after majoring in materials science at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences of the University of Tokyo and working for a corporation. He was recently registered as a patent and trademark attorney.
Mr. Takizawa’s motto is “Be Positive in Every Way”. He is mainly in charge of mechanical engineering and control engineering cases. He majored in organic chemistry, conductive polymers, and other materials and also has a programming experience as part of his business career.
Mr. Takizawa is also a qualified intellectual property analyst (patent) and first grade certified specialist of intellectual property management (patent).

Mariko Haniu joined our firm in 2018 after majoring in bioengineering at the School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo and working for a corporation. She was recently registered as a patent and trademark attorney.
Ms. Haniu’s motto is “My Mission is to be a Discoverer of Inventions and a Navigator to Acquire Intellectual Property Rights”. She is specialized in materials in general, such as polymer materials, organic materials, inorganic materials, and biomaterials, automotive technologies, and semiconductor devices.
Ms. Haniu was in the intellectual property department while working for the corporation (Cannon Inc.) and has experiences as a "client" who entrusts cases to patent firms.

Hiroko Iwatsuki joined our firm in 2019 after majoring in molecular design and engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering of Nagoya University and working for a corporation. She was recently registered as a patent and trademark attorney.
Ms. Iwatsuki’s motto is “I Assist Our Clients’ Dream Come True from the Aspect of Intellectual Property”. She is specialized in chemistry, materials, mechanical engineering, control engineering, and software, and especially familiar with materials in general, such as polymer materials, organic materials, and inorganic materials, in-vehicle devices, and vehicle control.
■Patent and Trademark Attorney Natsuko Tsuji

Natsuko Tsuji joined our firm in 2018 after majoring in integrated life science at the Graduate School of Biostudies of Kyoto University and working for a corporation. She was recently registered as a patent and trademark attorney.
Ms. Tsuji’s motto is “I'll Put All My Effort into Acquisition of Intellectual Property Rights Meeting Our Clients' Requests”. She is mainly in charge of cases in the field of biotechnology, medicine, food, chemistry, and engineering.
Ms. Tsuji was a regulatory affairs specialist and also had an opportunity to be involved in intellectual property matters in her business career.
We have a total of about 30 patent and trademark attorneys, including the four newly registered members mentioned above, having varieties of professional backgrounds.
