Greetings upon My Return (Kenshi TAKENAKA)
I am pleased to announce I have returned to my IP attorney practice after completing my term as a Judicial Research Official of the Intellectual Property High Court.
At the court, I closely observed situations where the validity and technical scope of patents were contested from a technical expert’s point of view. I witnessed numerous instances where outstanding inventions failed to fully realize their value due to minor deficiencies in the specification or claims–truly “Mottainai (pity to squander the potential)” situations.
This experience has solidified my belief: a strong patent is “crafted” from the application stage. How the court interprets claims and where it focuses on making judgments–this perspective I have gained is an irreplaceable asset for an IP attorney.
I am determined to leverage this invaluable experience to enhance your patent strategies. I will assist in securing patents that would be judged “strong” by the court, anticipating possible disputes from the initial application stage.
I am truly delighted to be able to utilize this earned perspective for you.
I look forward to working with you.
